A few summers ago we did an install in Saratoga Springs for a local family — two small kids, the kind of people who are always helping everyone else in the community. So we decided it was our turn: Astello donated the labor, and Cooper & Hunter donated the equipment — we picked it up from Capital Winair in Albany and got to work.
The house was a mobile-style home built in the late 2000s. Thinner walls and lighter insulation than a stick-built house — which is exactly why we don’t guess at sizing. We ran a Manual J heating load calculation from the house’s actual data and built the system around it: one outdoor condenser running four indoor zones — all three bedrooms plus the open living-room-and-kitchen space. Heating and cooling, every room on its own control.
