A family bought a 1,344-square-foot, 3-bedroom Colonial on Bancker St — built in 1920, downstairs already cooled by an existing mini-split, upstairs brutal in summer. Their plan was one AC head in the upstairs hallway. We walked them through why that fails: three bedrooms, kids, doors that close — the hallway stays cool and the rooms don't.
