A real Astello install
This 1,260-square-foot single-family home on 3rd Ave in Lansingburgh dated from the 1890s. It had little insulation and an aging hot-water radiator and baseboard system. The homeowners chose ductless as an alternative to replacing that heating equipment.
We ran a Manual J load calculation and installed a Senville Aura cold-climate system with 5 indoor units. The old heating system was decommissioned, and the project qualified for $10,000 in NYS Clean Heat rebates. The work took about 3 days during freezing December weather. The new system also provided summer air conditioning.
